FPM Base Module
Base Module provides the foundation on which all FPM Modules are integrated. The Base System offers a menu system integrating all modules, a database structure common to all modules, report generators and file maintenance functions.

Cash Management
Cash Management Module provides comprehensive integrated cash management functionality. The module handles multi-currency cash movements arising from all transactions such as purchases, sales, placements, redemptions, income, expense, foreign currency transactions, transfers, Cash accounts can be set up as interest bearing call accounts where accrued interest can be computed over any time period with varying balances, interest rates and accrual patterns. Present and projected cash balances can be viewed in real time enabling the traders/account managers to keep a close watch on liquidity and credit limits at pre-trade stage

Fixed Interest
FPM can handle fixed interest securities of all types, ranging from plain vanilla bonds to short term money market instruments.The characteristics of commonly traded bonds and money market instruments are kept in the FPM database. Prices can be computed from the yield curve or from related data (price, yield or discount) obtained from a data feed service. Accrued interest is calculated from industry standard accrual patterns. Mathematical tools are available for computation of maturity yield and duration. Portfolios can be analysed by user defined maturity and yield bands and weight average life, duration, maturity yield.

Time Deposits
Time Deposits Module handles various types of fixed (time) deposits such as fiduciary deposits, call deposits, loans / borrowings. Placements, maturities and roll-overs are automatically posted into the General Ledger. Reports are available for cash flow projections, maturity band analysis and representation of counterparty, currency and interest rate risks.

Equity
The maturity of an equity system can be judged from its capabilities in handling corporate actions
and reconstructions. Downstream consequences of reconstructions from the view point of tax rules can overwhelm
most systems. FPM Equity Module provides automated functions for handling corporate actions and dividend entitlements across holders.
All actions are processed in sequence with the actual date events/stages.
For example, trade date to settlement date off-set is automatically applied on deal capture and amounts pending settlement
are shown on bank account statements on-line. Similarly dividends pending can be posted into accrual accounts on ex-div date
and then passed to bank accounts subsequently.

Futures and Options
Futures and Options Module can handle all types of derivatives including standard commodity, index and financial futures and options contracts and user defined forward currency contracts. The module has integrated client reporting,margin management, incentive and management fee calculations. Accounting functions such as P&L, fee accruals can be performed through the General Ledger Module.

Fund of Funds Module offers portfolio management, administration and accounting functions specially suited for fund of funds management. Special functions are available for handling the particular behaviour pattern of fund-of-fund portfolios such as delayed NAV / GAV accounting, equalisation, reconstructions.

Foreign Exchange
The FX Module provides trade capture functions for deliverable foreign exchange contracts such as spots (eg for the settlement of equity bond trades in a foreign currency) and forward currency as well as for hedge trades. Open positions can be valued with forward rates derived from forward interest rate differentials. Forward currency valuations can be consolidated with exchange traded contract (futures / options), money market and equity positions to enable total currency and counterparty risk assessment.

Order Management
Order Management Module provides functions for deal capture and tracking, and can be configured to issue
pre-trade (breach) warnings in accordance with user defined rules. The Order Management Module enables traders to share a common
database with the back office and provides on-line access to client cash and investment positions. Allocated deals are sent
to the back office electronically.

Compliance
Compliance Module allows users to define a flexible range of compliance rules for monitoring client
and investment policy mandates. Rules can be defined in accordance with UCITS III directive on investment spreads or
in terms of user defined portfolio segments (instrument, sector, currency, country, etc). The Module can be used pro-actively
from the Order Management Module to warn limit breaches at pre- trade entry stage.

Performance Measurement
Performance Measurement & Attribution Module allows users to define their own portfolio segments and composites.
Users can also define composite Benchmarks. Cash movements are time weighted automatically in accordance with AIMR-GIPS
standards. The Performance Module interfaces with the Graphics Module
to produce presentation quality graphs which can be included in the Client Report Book .

General Ledger
The General Ledger Module provides multi-currency
/ multi-instrument accounting functionality by integrating with the financial instrument modules. The GL Module
takes its input from the transaction databases and requires no further input. Multi-currency / multi-instrument
financial reports are produced from the transaction database by means of a combination of user defined journals
and system journals. The multi-company Chart of Accounts can be fully configured by the user.

Oracle Financials Interface
This module is for downloading data to Oracle Financials in accordance with a parametrically defined configuration system which maps FPM Chart of Accounts to Oracle Chart of Accounts. Downloads can be made with the frequency chosen by the user. Security controls are implemented to avoid passing corrupt data.

Security Accounting
This module is designed for fund managers running a book keeping operation in parallel with external custodians. Whereas the GL Module conducts formal accounting in accordance with double entry principles and provides balances and movements in nominal accounts,the Security Accounting Module provides balances and movements in the actual holdings. The module can operate in accordance with specific taxation rules (UK, US and Norway).

Tax Modules
UK Tax Module provides a tax return in accordance with the rules of UK Inland Revenue (retail price indexation). Special attention is paid to the effect of capital reconstructions and client associations in computing the indexed cost of "pools". A range of report styles are available off-the-shelf which can be further customised by the end user through the report generator.
Norway Tax Module provides reports in accordance with the rules of the Norwegian taxation system concerning the RISK method and FIFO principles. A range of report styles are available which can be further customised by the end user through the report generator.
US Tax Module provides a report in accordance with the rules of the US taxation concerning the treatment of long and short term capital gains and the application of FIFO principles.

Client Relationship Management
CRM Module comprises a number of functions that enables pro-active management and administration client portfolios.
Client investment guidelines can be captured in conjunction with the Compliance Module and pre-trade warnings are given in case of breach.
Management fees and trade commissions can be computed. Client Report Books can
be printed automatically at required intervals. Client Report Books can be output to Acrobat PDF files for electronic
transmission of reports through the Outlook Interface. Client Report Books can also contain graphics representing asset allocation
and performance over user defined time intervals. Client Report Books can be saved electronically in the Document Management
Module for future use.

Access Privileges
This module enables the system administrator to control users’ access rights to FPM by function (eg can / cannot post trades) or by client (eg can / cannot access given clients). A complete audit of user access into the system is maintained and can be reported with date and time stamps.

Excel Interface
The Excel Interface paves the way for huge productivity gains by allowing transparent interchange of data between FPM
and Excel. FPM transaction input functions accept data from Excel (with on-line validation). All report functions can output to Excel at the click of a button.

Outlook Interface Module facilitates sending e-mails and reports as PDF attachments directly from the Report Scheduler.
End of period report delivery can be automated with this tool.

The Report Scheduler produces collated and customised Client Report Books automatically.
Schedules can be customised to suit individual client requirements (eg a given selection of reports, collation sequence,
frequency and interval of reporting, etc.

Data Feeds
Interfaces are available to a number of data feed providers including Bloomberg Data Licence and FT Select.
The selection of service is left to the user but the common objective of the interface is to download prices, exchange rates and corporate actions into the FPM database. The frequency of the update and the delivery method depends on the particular service.
Bloomberg Data License is a request based service working interactively on the Internet. FPM provides a direct and fully automated interface to Bloomberg Data Licence (per Security) service through internet FTP calls. Downloaded data items are automatically mapped into the appropriate FPM tables. Any data item can be downloaded for any international security including Daily and Historical Prices, Exchange Rates, Indices, Corporate Actions and Dividends.
FT Select is a batch service whereby a pre-configured set of data items are made available for downloading from the Internet. Site of FT Interactive Data. Data available includes Daily and Historical Prices, Exchange Rates, Indices, Corporate Actions and Dividends.

RemoteFPM
RemoteFPM Module provides full Internet connectivity to the FPM system via a thin client platform (such as Citrix or Windows Terminal Services). It is also posisble to provide mixed access to FPM system where some users continue accessing via the usual LAN connection while others connect remotely over the Internet via RemoteFPM.

WebFPM
WebFPM is a read-only internet browser which provides access to pre-published FPM reports.
For example, with WebFPM, clients / users may view / download reports on-line. Reports can be published automatically
through the Report Scheduler.
